The artist will still claim 100% ownership of the commission and can use it for any means necessary (portfolio, etc). But ownership can be given to the client if a contract detailing it is accepted and signed.

The commissions are not and will never be for those who wish to resell the pieces within a blockchain system or crypto currencies.

The commissions are not for commercial use.

The finalized piece for the client will not have a watermark.

The initial sketches and such will be send with a grey background. The color is for reducing eye strain while drawing.

The final product will have a pure white background (unless the client specifies a different background color).

Client will be given .png files for the commission (and a .zip file in case).

Animation commissions will be .mp4 and .gif files (and a .zip file of the frames and other assets).

Commissions are in the RGB colour model.

Average commission canvas size is 2800×2800 px (may increase or decrease depending on commission type).

Communication between artist and client will be done through direct message on social platforms (Tumblr, Discord, etc) or email.

Late replies will happen due to different time zones because the artist lives in South East Asia (UTC +8 MYT).

Updates about the commission will be given to the client atleast once a week.

Late updates are bound to happen but the artist will attempt to update the client quickly in the coming week.

If client does not give a response within one month, an immediate refund will occur (refer to Cancellation Policies for more info).

If client has issues beginning communication (anxiety issues etc), client is free to use commission form (Google Form) anytime.

Requesting Phase

Commissions will only be available when an announcement is made (on Tumblr, Instagram, & Misskey).

The number of slots will differ each time and will be known during a commission announcement.

A commission outside an announcement can be requested but there is no confirmation of getting accepted.

Or the client can be saved a spot when commissions are officially open.

A commission can be declined for reasons; outside current art skills or comfort zone (refer to Commission Can and Can't on Commission Prices).

Clients should have every information about the commission prepared (character sheet, reference photos, etc).

If client doesn't have all the information prepared, they are allowed time to prepare it in a couple months time, or explain in text (only for simple designs).

If the background you want is really simple or just a shape (eg, a flat square), you don't need to pay the background fee, it is completely free.

Drawing Phase

Phases of drawing; Sketch, Inking, Flat colour, Render (shading).

Phases of animating; Storyboard (draft), In-betweens, Character layout (sketch), Inking, Flat colour, Edit (colour overlay, camera position, etc).

A sketch of the commission will be send first for feedback and if it is accepted, outline, colour and shading will be done. Each step will given to the client for updates.

Each update will be given in low resolution to ensure no art thefts happen.

If any changes needs to be done to the commission, tell during the sketch and inking phase only. Otherwise, it will be completely ignored in later phases.

Delivery Phase

Commission pieces will not be posted publicly on any social platforms and be sent through Discord or client's email to retain the quality.

Client is allowed to post the commission piece online but they are not allowed to claim credit for it. They must specify who the artist is (BeaWhatchumean).

Payment is in USD ($) and done through PayPal. However, if you are a Malaysian citizen, payment will be in MYR (RM) and be done through online banking.

Information for payment (email and account number) will be shared after confirmation of commission.

In order for commission to start, payment must be done first. Either complete payment or installment (50% up front, 50% paid later). The other half of the payment must be done in order to receive the final piece.

Negotiation for the commission price is allowed but no confirmation for agreement.

A refund can be done but only if the piece is not complete yet.

Client is allowed to request a refund due to reasons; emergencies, financial status, etc.

Reasons beyond those stated will be ignored and no refund will be issued.

If a refund is issued, progress on the commission will be halted and the WIPs (work in progress) will not be shared to avoid scams from the client.

A client can request their commission be continued with paying an up front or full payment firstly (refer to Payment).

A refund can also be done due to uncomfortable working experience with the client (and also be blacklisted).
